Hello, We are having a generic discussion today at work. What is better...a polling type application(where a while process continously runs and polls for changes to a database to occur then fire off the appropriate action) or an event-based application(where the program waits for an event to occur, then calls the appropriate action). While the two are similiar, they do have differences. My questions, which is better and the standard way of doing it? Polling or event based. Any help will be apprecited. I didn't find the right solution from the Internet. References: arstechnica.com/civis/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=288926corporate solution marketingThank You
